Tyler Beard was born in Olathe, KS. He is currently a graduate student at the University of Colorado at Boulder working towards his Master of Fine Arts degree in ceramics. In the summer of 2008 he traveled to Berlin where he was an artist in residence at the Ceramic Center. Mr. Beard received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics at the University of Kansas and attended the Kansas City Art Institute as a special student on completion of his B.F.A. His work explores storytelling through object making, photographs, and written fables. He has a continued interest in animals, the color yellow, and good coffee in the morning.
